The Serbian community in Montreal dates back to the last century, and Serbs have lived in this area for a little longer than a hundred years. Since 1954, they have been gathering around the Holy Trinity church. In a specific environment where the two official languages are French and English in the province of Quebec, in Canada, the establishment of a parish and Church-School Congregation in Montreal was of exceptional importance for the preservation of the faith, language and culture of our people. From its foundation until today, the Holy Trinity Church has been a second home for Serbs in Montreal. It is a meeting place for Serbs, where the spirit of the homeland is felt, and religion, language and culture are nurtured and passed on to the younger generations.
This year, the church-school municipality “Holy Trinity” from Montreal will celebrate 70 years since its foundation. The event will take place on October 5th, 2024 in Montreal. In order to promote Serbian culture, we will organize event that will bring together representatives from the world of culture, business and politics of Quebec, Canada and Serbia.
