On Friday, November 7, 2025, His Excellency Mr. Stefan Tomašević, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Canada, visited the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Montreal.
Accompanying His Excellency were Dr. Aleksandar Vidojević and Dr. Sandra Hadžagić, First Counsellors at the Embassy of Serbia, as well as Mrs. Marina Gavanski-Zisis, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Montreal.
The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by Very Rev. Vladimir Vranić, Dr. Milenko Petrović, President of the Holy Trinity Church-School Congregation, Dr. Jasmina Petrović, and Mr. Zoran Mijušković, President of the Organizing Committee.
During the visit, the hosts introduced His Excellency to the history of the church and the Serbian community in Montreal, as well as to the spiritual and cultural heritage preserved within the parish. The discussion emphasized the importance of maintaining national identity, strengthening cooperation among Serbian institutions in Canada, and supporting the cultural and religious life of the community.
The visit took place in a cordial and pleasant atmosphere, leaving a lasting impression and opening new avenues for future cooperation and joint initiatives for the benefit of the Serbian community in Canada.
